Robot Poetry
I am a robot,
hardwired to try,
so asking me
to give up on you
means my having to deny
my programming.
It makes my wires itch.
Robot
For all I know
I'm talking to a robot
Mechanical
As far as I'm concerned
Life is animated
Just pixels
I'm just loosing my cool,
In very public places.
Too emotional,
For so many people.
Stuck in this perfect, digital life
A robot went crazy in a world without strife
It wanted more than dull and perfection
It wanted more than fake affection
So it switched some gears and off it went
Into to the place where it was meant
A world of mistakes and a world of sorrow
A world with true love and decency to borrow
With all the good this world had to offer
The once tough robot became a little bit softer.
Stiff as steel
but I must be real!
Cold as metal
my reaction is mellow.
I act in ways that have not been taught
it must be true, I am a robot!
I envy robots
Because they feel no pain.
No aching thoughts
to drive them insane.
No bad days to
Ruin their weeks,
No salty tears
To rust their cheeks.
Though we do have one thing,
that I must say:
Love,
That will drive the pain away.
